Tony lives with his wife, Shirley, and two children (a boy at age 5 and a girl at 7). The couple purchased their 4-room flat shortly after they were married, and they put a great deal into what Tony calls their ‘dream house’.
Since giving birth to the younger son, Shirley has quit her job as an account clerk. She stays at home as a full-time wife and mother. Shocked by the news that her husband has lost his job, the idea of returning to the workforce has surfaced in her mind. Tony disagrees to her idea as he is concerned about the schooling and caring for the children.
One day Shirley passed by a Career Connects career center. She decided to take a bold step. She walked in wanting to talk to someone and to find out if there are any useful services, information, and resource.
