This paper is an analysis of the language and nonverbal characteristics of a famous persuasive presentation. The History Channel has a video collection of famous political speeches. Select one speech for analysis.
Analyze the speech in terms of its persuasive effectiveness. The paper is to include an analysis of the speech in terms of two language features (e.g., language intensity, powerful and powerless language styles, vividness, ultimate terms, see Gass & Seiter, 2018, chapter 7 for additional possibilities) and two nonverbal features (e.g., kinesics, paralinquistic cues, haptics, eye behavior, physical appearance, see Gass & Seiter, 2018, chapter 8 for additional possibilities).
In other words, this paper requires you to develop an argument for the persuasive effectiveness of the speech by referring to specific language and nonverbal features. The paper should include quotes from the speech (language) and descriptions of the speaker’s nonverbal behaviors.

Your paper should be three to four-pages and written using APA formatting.
The paper will have a minimum of four paragraphs: introduction (describing the speech and its historical context); argument as to the effectiveness of language aspects of the speech; argument as to the effectiveness of the nonverbal aspects of the speech; and conclusion. Be sure to include a title page and reference page in correct APA formatting.
The Gass and Seiter (2018) text should be referenced in your paper, especially as you define the two language and two nonverbal behaviors that are the focus of your analysis. Two additional sources are required to provide the historical context of the speech.
