Select a biography or autobiography of a person (living or deceased) whose background and culture differs from your own. Based on the biography or autobiography that you selected and read, write a 6-7 page essay (not including the cover and reference pages) which analyzes the culture of the person you selected. Your paper must include the following:
A cover page, introduction, thesis, body, conclusion, and reference page.
The title of the biography or autobiography in addition to the full APA citation on the reference page.
A brief description of your person, including but not limited to characteristics, birthplace, major events, etc.
The integration of one specific concept or idea from each chapter of your textbook ( (Communication between Cultures – by Samovar, Porter, McDaniel, Roy; Chapters 1 – 10). Relate these concepts to specific events or interactions from his or her life story. Provide citations from your text (Samovar, et al., 2013) and the book you have selected to support this analysis and integration.
Your analysis of the following questions:
In what ways are you similar with this person, including experiences, biblical worldview, etc.?
In what ways are you different?
After reading this person’s life story, what did you learn about cross-cultural communication? Be specific.
How will what you have learned impact your communication in your personal and professional circles in the future?
APA formatting and citations throughout your paper required.
