Writing: Using Griaule’s explanation of sacrifice, consider the Olojo Festival of Oggun from Olupona’s text and explore how sacrifice affects the reality of those involved. Does sacrifice change the individual/world? How? In what ways is the relationship between the sacrificer, the sacrificed and the divine changed? Use specific examples from the description of the festival and explain their significance considering the readings we have done up to this point.
