In this assessment you are required to apply Evidence Based Policing (EBP) to an aspect of
policing of your choice. You should seek to demonstrate how an EBP based approach could
improve policing practice in the area you have chosen. The work of Prof Jerry Ratcliffe would
be a good place to start your research for this assignment.
You must make use of academic sources and failure to do so will see your grade severely
limited. Also, you must construct an argument that makes a point about the impact that EBP
could have in the area you have chosen. Merely repeating information will limit the grade you
are able to achieve.
