Description: This assignment focuses on major ethical issues facing health care and the ways to evaluate them. Students will be assigned to a group and an issue which will be posted on the first day of class. Students will then research the approved issue and present to the class. While each student may have an assigned role (designated by the group), all work for this assignment is intended to be completed by the group as a whole. Each group should formulate a timeline for the project, design an evaluation rubric and designate areas of major responsibility within the group. Any additional information the group feels is required should be identified and then requested of the instructor. All controversies should first be discussed in the group, and, if not resolved, then brought to the instructor for mediation. All presentations are due on the same day though actual group presentation days may vary.
