Identify a legislative issue in PA practice and discuss history and status.
For this assignment, the student must:
Identify a legislative/legal issue in PA practice. This can be a current issue the PA profession is facing or a past issue.
Describe the issue and any pertinent background information
If it is the current issue, describe the status (e.g. will it be voted on, does it need to come before legislation)
If it is a past issue, describe the steps that occurred to pass the legislation (e.g. what steps did AAPA or a state PA society take to pass the legislation)
The paper needs to be in APA format with appropriate references cited in-text and include a reference list
The paper should be 4 to 6 pages in length, double spaced
You may choose a state-specific legislative issue or a national legislative issue.
