The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) of 1993 makes it possible for an eligible employee to take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave in a 12-month period for certain specific reasons without loss of employment. The leave taken under FMLA must often be coordinated with short-term disability and other time-off plans.

From a management perspective, list the problems associated with the use and or abuse of FMLA and then contrast that with the employee perspective and the benefits that an employee may find in this program.

Responses should be submitted in a one page document with at least one additional reference in APA 7th edition format.
