Write a two page Project Paper on the Ammonium Nitrate incident in Beirut.
Two articles a) Ammonium nitrate history and b) Chemistry behind the Beirut explosion are attached for immediate reference. Go through the articles to understand the incident. Make a note of any statements or facts that you come across and cross reference them to what you have studied in The Common Sense Approach to Hazardous Materials 3rd edition Frank L. Fires textbook. Chap 9 – Combustible solids, Chap 11 – Oxidizing agents, Chap 12 – Plastics and Chap 15 – Toxicity.
