Assignment 3: Write results section for Halo Effect study
For this assignment you will write an APA format results section for our Halo Effect study. You will have to write the results in narrative form, as well as produce at least one table and one figure, or bar graph of at least one of the ANOVAs. You do not have to produce a bar graph for each of our dependent variable; simply pick one that was significant and produce a bar graph for it. Make sure the figure and table have APA labels and are references in the text. You will be graded on the following criteria:
Each of the following items/criterion will be graded on a scale of 0 (completely missing) to 5 (excellent work), for a total of 30 points:
- Each hypothesis test is explained and presented clearly, as in it is clear what the hypothesis test is actually testing and what the test actually does (e.g. it should be clear that you understand what an ANOVA actually does).
- All test results are interpreted correctly (e.g. you need to demonstrate that you understand the difference between statistically significant and NOT statistically significant)
- If results are statistically significant, you must present the results of the post-hoc, and provide an interpretation (e.g. which group scores higher/lower, not just “different”)
- All numerical information is presented in APA format (All means, standard deviations, F tests, p values should be in APA format)
- The results contain a table and at least one figure (in APA format) which are references in the narrative of the results
- Results demonstrate an understanding of the phenomenon and statistical test used (e.g. It should be obvious that you understood what you were actually testing, and WHY you were testing it).
