You now have an introduction into ‘Design Thinking, that is supported with certain design methods that you have applied, and some theoretical papers outlining this approach.
A written report is required for validation of this module, this is in the form of a personal reflection on your experience of this module, this can also include any further reading you undertake, but the reflection should be linked to the actual module of ‘Design Thinking practice’.
This written report is NOT a report on the project, domain or subject considered, it is a reflection on the nature of the module itself (A meta reflection); ways of working, dynamics of groups, reflections on successes, failures and difficulties.
Your reflection is personal, that means it comes from you! (it is not right or wrong – it is your intelligent reflection that is required). To help you begin you can think about these questions:
What did you learn about yourself? What did you learn about others?
What did you learn about working in a group/group dynamics?
What did you learn about Design & Design Thinking?
What did you learn about how Designers think, and the way they see the world? What did you learn about creativity?
What did you learn about the management of this approach?
What influence do you think culture has on this way of working?
What do you think about the idea around ‘organised chaos’?
What do you think is the future for Innovation and Design within the business environment?
Did the module challenge you in any way? If yes, in what way and why do you think that is? (ways of working, ways of thinking)
It is expected that the report is well structured, it has an introduction, sectioned content explaining your reflections and a clear conclusion.
Please note that in this class we worked on a An Online Visual Collaboration Platform for Teamwork in order to brainstorm between students and professor and between students members go each group. Please find attached some articles where you understand the real meaning of design thinking. Please refer to the articles when describing elements. As the professor guidelines there is no right or wrong its really reflection on the work done.
