You are a computer science student in a University, and you conduct with someone who is currently in a position which is related to computer science. And, you had a short informational interview (like 10 to 20 minutes) with this someone. This someone graduated with computer science, and currently working in some industry which related to computer science.
Here are some questions you might consider for informational interview.
1. What sparked your interest in this career field?
2. What does a typical day entail in your line of work?
3. What do you like most about your career field?
4. What are some challengers you face in this career choice?
5. How do you handle your work-life balance?
6. What suggestions do you have for someone who is interested in this field?
7. Who else do you recommend I talk to?
After your interview, summarize your notes in two or three paragraphs. Include the name of the interviewee, a short biography describing his or her professional background and experiences, and a brief synopsis of your interview details/highlights.
