Talk to a child (three to eight-years-old) about a variety of moral issues, e.g.:
What is bad? What is good?
Give the child a moral dilemma relevant to his or her world (make the characters children and the issue posed a familiar one).
How does the child respond?
Can you identify any moral principles?
Can you identify which of Kohlberg’s stages seems to describe the child’s reasoning?
