Purpose:
· To provide a justification to the COO (Chief Operation Officer) on why the organization should use the Enterprise Architecture practice to guide the upcoming major enterprise transformation and improve the business’s effectiveness, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
· To create a business case for the implementation of an Enterprise Architecture Program within an enterprise.
Instructions:
1. Provide an introductory section about enterprise architecture; benefits, and why should the organization adopt an EA practice.
2. Identify the impact (organization structure, integration with other management frameworks, etc.), and investment required to implement Enterprise Architecture practice (financial and non-financial).
3. Identify the roles and responsibilities of Enterprise Architects in any business transformation initiatives.
4. Identify the mandate that should be given to proposed Enterprise Architecture Capability, and the commitment required from senior management to ensure effectiveness of the Enterprise Architecture Program.
5. Remember this is an executive-level document and must focus on the what, why, when, and very little on how to do it.
6. This document must be a minimum of 2000 words with references and support. A minimum of five references is required.
7. Make sure you provide an executive summary at the beginning of the document (between 300-500 words)

With a total word count of 2000 words and an executive summary with a minimum of 300 words, each section would evenly be 425 words minimum, although looking at it, it seems that some parts may take more than 425 to answer fully and we are supposed to have 5 references minimum for the report.
Parts two and four look like they could be pretty large, they probably should be done by two people.
