Ethical Action PlanIn your career you will need to articulate and act upon an ethical argument. That is, to explain to others why you find some act unethical or as a leader, to chart an ethical course through a tricky situation. The assigned case has an ethical dimension to the managerial decision. Put yourself into the position of the manager and explain what ethical action you would take and why you find that action to be ethical. The Ethical question of the decision in the “WhiteWater Specialties ” case has an ethical dimension. Since accepting an order for all 2000 stores would put the firm at financial risk, that would risk the jobs of all the employees at WhiteWater Specialties and perhaps imperil the WhiteWater West business as well. Would pursuing this opportunity be ethical? Essay FormatYour paper should use the following form: The first paragraph should introduce the case and the ethical question at issue. The rest of the paper will serve to examine the case from 5 different ethical perspectives. For each of these 5 ethical schools of thought, create separate arguments following this format:

1) A paragraph should focus on the ethical (prescriptive) premise for each school of thought that you consider relevant and inviolable. You made need to explain why you have chosen this particular prescriptive premise. The conclusion of this paragraph should be your prescriptive premise.

2) Descriptive Paragraph(s) should describe the facts of the case that are in keeping with your prescriptive premises (or in violation of your prescriptive premises). As before, the conclusion of this paragraph will be the descriptive premise.

3) Your conclusion paragraph will summarize your argument, and state your sub-conclusion that the actions prescribed are ethical or not ethical according to the standard associated with this school of thought.

4) The final paragraph of the essay will discuss the ethics of the action you propose, and the justification of that action across multiple schools of ethical thought. In theory, this paper should be 17 paragraphs long, an introduction paragraph (1) then 5 sets of prescriptive, descriptive and concluding paragraphs (2-16) and ending with an overall conclusion showing why your proposed action is an ethical action (17).
