1. What's your opinion on if it is ever appropriate to use non -offensive ethnic humor in the classroom. (laughter can heal, but it can hurt)
For example, are BuzzFeed's captions insulting? Would you use this in a classroom? There is NO right or wrong answer here– and no intent to be offensive. For sure, your response should probably differentiate between age groups.

Actually, it was pretty funny about having to go to Hebrew School, Chinese School because all the childhood that was me, and I'd complain to my parents that no other minority group had to go to another school after school, and my dad would always say that's not true– the Chinese have Chinese school, and we have Hebrew School.. but was that picture offensive to another group? Let's talk about this and come up with guidelines re humor and how it can HELP and how it can hurt, if to use, WHEN to use.
2. Post an experience you remember from your childhood, or that you witnessed, that made it clear your teacher was not a culturally responsive teacher.
3. Your thoughts on Jane Elliot's experiment and classroom use. (https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/article/an-unfinished-crusade-an-interview-with-jane-elliott/)
