Use the four phases and the various theories and conclusions of communication experts to create four separate political ads.
Each commercial should be, roughly, 30 seconds and laid out as follows:
Candidate Introduction. The introduction is the perfect place to use the hypodermic needle theory, uses and gratifications, cultivation, and the audience’s emotional intelligence.
The Platform. The platform should convey what the candidate believes and why, communication accommodation, the creation and solving of cognitive dissonance, Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, and Aristotle’s rhetoric.
Negative Ad. The negative ad will attempt to belittle an opponent and can utilize any number of theories, including cultivation, agenda setting, and using opinion leaders in the step flow.
The Future. The future is the visionary section that looks ahead and shows what the candidate can provide for the future.
