Critically examine some of the challenges an organisation can face in dealing with any aspect of employee relations.
• You can examine any aspect of ER (excluding the topic covered in assignment 1).
• Recognise the practical implications of your chosen topic area and explore how and why they may present challenges to an organisation.
• Do not simply describe the topic but explore the challenges presented by this issue (or issues) as well as their potential consequences and how they might be managed in a work environment.
• The use of work-based examples is absolutely required in answering this question.
1. To take your work to the excellent level you need to engage at least 4 academic sources around each key point. You are not consistent in that process and so the ideas being discussed are not as compelling as they might otherwise be.
2. The guidance talks very specifically about work based examples. You are extremely light on this aspect of the work and consequently the links between theory and work practices are not shown in the dialogue. The guidance also mentions that you must use work based examples, you should have at least one example in each paragraph. If you are using a work based examples it would be coming from a published source (so there is one of your academic sources).
3. While you have an appropriate level of research, the way you use it is key to demonstrating appreciation and understanding of the subject. In general terms you do, in specific terms that clear and explicit evidence is not there.
