What is the role of light and dark in Lila Quintero Weaver’s Dark Room? In other words, how does the artist/author’s use of shadow, line, and background suggest a particular tone and/or connect to an overall theme (e.g., civil rights struggle, internal conflict, or self actualization)? Select ONE multi-panel sequence as the basis for your response. Be sure to include, in your analysis, a consideration of both the visual AND textual elements in the sequence.
