Technology Solution Paper with focus on Fall Risk Management
Assignment details:
Imagine you are being interviewed by a recruitment team for an advanced practice nursing position in your specialty. This paper is a synthesis of your potential responses to the questions presented to you by the recruitment team.
Your responses should address the following (grading details as shown):
1. How would you envision using information/communication technologies to support and augment your new role? (35%)
Provide a brief overview of the organization. (5%)
Describe the role (job) for which you are applying. (10%)
Discuss your thoughts on how technology can support your new role. (20%)
2. What is the evidence (from a review of the literature) that this technology will enhance the quality of nursing care and/or assist in your new role? (35%)
Five (5) articles are to be selected to support the discussion in this section (with proper APA citation). (20%)
The five articles are to be summarized in a separate Literature Matrix and included after the reference section. (15%)
3. Are there any limitations or concerns about the solution’s use? (20%)
For items #1-3, points will be deducted if responses are not thorough and/or do not address the question.
4. Paper Submission Requirements (10%)
Paper should be well organized and demonstrate a professional writing style, with proper APA formatting.
Points will be deducted for issues with grammar and/or inappropriate APA formatting.
There is no page limit for the paper. However, the material in each section should be thorough and robust in content to address the questions posed in the assignment details.
If assignments are submitted after the due date, 5 percentage points will be deducted for each day the assignment is late.
Assignments more than 1 week late will not be accepted.
Assignments that are not submitted correctly will be deemed late.
Turnitin will be used for paper submission. Turnitin similarity reports that are Orange or Red will require a re-write and re-submission.

Students are encouraged to select a technology solution based on personal interest, relevance to career goals, or work experience.
Literature from nursing or other healthcare or information systems/technology literature should support your selection. These would be identified from your in-depth literature search.
Promotional brochures or other marketing literature may be used to enhance the paper, but they do not replace journal articles that are to be obtained from the literature search.
Proper citation (using APA format) must be incorporated into the paper. Do not use extensive quotations from the literature. No more than 2 direct quotes (1 sentence max per quote) are allowed; aside from those, you must convey the information in your own words.
