Comparison and analysis of the African American struggle in America through two similar photos.
Write a 2 page MLA documented essay analyzing the two images that are attached. Describe the two images in detail to highlight what the viewers need to see and provide a foundation for that analysis. Provide several key points of comparison/contrast as the focus. The thesis statement should make a claim about the key differences [or similarities] in the way that the images establish the purposes to achieve their persuasive effects. Be sure to discuss any of the following compositional elements that apply: distance; angle and orientation; framing; light; focus or blurring; scale, space, and shape; use of repetition, variety, and balance; line; and color. • Follow MLA conventions for formatting the essay, including citing sources for the photographs and any information used to make to give background or historical context.
