You will survey similar items; however, your survey will not be exactly as the example. In this assignment, you will conduct a windshield survey of a geographic area within or near the community where you live. Windshield surveys are effective in raising awareness of issues relating to public health in and around the community. Before you conduct the windshield survey, you may also wish to visit the Google Maps website (Links to an external site.). Input the zip code for your selected area. Once the map displays, view the map to determine if there are schools, parks, churches, bus stops, health care facilities, etc. in the vicinity.

Note that Google Maps includes both a traditional Map view and a photographic Satellite view of the area.
