Workplace Diversity

Project Description:
You will be researching diversity in the workplace. You will be looking at current diversity statistics. You will include a diversity policy from a company/organization of your choice regarding how they recognize diversity within their organization. You will be conveying your research in a visual with images, data, and text – Infographic. Your team from Module 6 will be evaluating your visual/infographic and offering feedback.

Instructions:

1. Pick a cultural group to research (Age, Religion, Sexuality, Gender, Ethnicity, Disabilities, etc.).

2. Find 4-5 workplace facts and/or statistics on a national level to demonstrate differences within your cultural group (Example: old vs young).

3. Find a company/organization that has a diversity policy which relates to your cultural group, report your findings.

4. Reference your textbook and outside websites.

5. Save the file as either a JPEG, PNG, or PDF., save with your first and last name as part of the file name.

6. Finally, upload your infographic in 2 places:

1. to the project dropbox for review/grading by your instructor

2. to your team discussion board in Module 8

You will create one Infographic. Infographics are a tool that allows users to visually represent a topic with images, data, and text. The following are a few suggested tools for creating an infographic. Instead of Word or PowerPoint, consider one of the following:

It works online in your Firefox or Chrome browsers, so there is nothing to download or install. You have access to over a million photographs, graphics, and fonts. Check out the Help menu for helpful tutorials.

https://piktochart.com/ (Links to an external site.) is a web-based application that allows you to create infographics and visuals using themed templates with little to no design experience.

Easelly (Links to an external site.)
https://www.easel.ly/ (Links to an external site.) is a website that features thousands of free infographic templates and design objects to create and share your visual ideas.
