Discrimination and lack of diversity in corporate roles
Using a real world organizational ethical dilemma about “discrimination and lack of diversity in corporate roles”, analyze the dilemma using the ethical frameworks provided in class. You will choose your own topic for the final paper. The topic should be a current issue in business and management ethics. Please submit a one-paragraph synopsis (via email if you wish) of your topic to be approved by the third or fourth night of class.
Your paper should set forth a clear description of the topic, including all relevant facts (who, what, when, where, why). Analyze the dilemma through one or more ethical lenses (i.e., ELI, theory, model, or prescriptive approach) of your choice and provide a rationale explaining your selection. Provide a brief background of the organization, description of the dilemma, and justification as to why this experience is considered to be an ethical dilemma (or not). Identify the patterns and consistencies stemming from the analysis to create a final resolution with a concise defense of the best resolution. Include a final discussion of how you—as a participant in the resolution—would play a role, the personal implications or professional consequences you might experience, and how you would handle these consequences. (Depending on our scheduled time, share with the class a short oral summary of your topic and paper.)
