Happiness and Pleasure
Initial Post
Imagine there is a simulation machine that is seamlessly capable of simulating any type of existence you would want to live for however long a period of time you would want to experience it. Explain (a) the extent to which you think you could be happy in such a simulation and (b) whether or not you would choose to live in such a simulation. What do your responses reveal about the relation between happiness and pleasure (i.e., are they the same or different and why)?
