Annotated Bibliography

For this assignment, you will compile and compose an annotated bibliography using the topic from this semester with an eye toward representing all your research in our class. You should already have some of this work done, but you will surely need to do additional analysis and revision. What is important to consider is that, when building texts such as an annotated bibliography, you are establishing your place in the conversation and developing a personal academic legacy.

Guides to Invention
-Expand and diversify your research. You are required to use at least 4 clearly definable genres of sources.
-Refer to pp. 266-9 in the Bedford Handbook for question prompts and ideas on “key features”.
-Build from material collected in previous “Works Cited” pages, research logs, notes, etc.
-Be aware that the example entry in our textbook expands upon the “key features.” Your submission will need to do the same.
-Allow for creativity in your analysis of these sources. This will help your presentation.

Things to Remember
-Each summation of a source must contain the same elements, such as “purpose for including”
-Each citation MUST reflect the correct genre requirements as presented in the Bedford Handbook “List of MLA Works Cited” section
-Each entry, page, and submission will reflect the conventions of the genre while also displaying personal style and function

What I Expect
-Full genre-specific citation and paragraph-length analysis for TEN sources (4 genres)
-Full and correct MLA formatting
-Grammar and mechanics conventions upheld
-Document to be backed up by the author
-The final draft will need to respond to any revision suggestions by Mr.C
