Future educators
Assignment #2 is designed to help you understand your students by offering a narrative written by Elizabeth Ballard. The narrative titled, “Three Letters from Teddy” focuses on a teacher and her student. As future educators, you are expected to teach all of your students, but oftentimes, teachers fall short of targeting the academic needs of students. You will learn this by reading “Three Letters from Teddy”. The story’s link is bellow:

This assignment will require you to research the “Texas Educator’s Code of Ethics.” You will be responsible for identifying “standards” that all teachers in the State of Texas must follow in public schools. Specifically, your focus will be to locate the section in the Texas Educator’s Code of Ethics titled: “Ethical Conduct Towards Students”. There, you will examine Three Letters from Teddy and identify standards that were met and those standards that were not met by the teacher, Mrs. Thompson. More specifically, your focus should also be on legal implications and the positive and negative actions that the teacher displayed towards her student, Teddy.
