Case Assignment
HR professionals are involved in and skilled at all areas we have covered in the first four Modules of this course. Based on what you have learned in these Modules, and do the following:
Write an information paper describing the components and process of developing a formal job description based on the information discussed in the course.
In you paper, be sure to highlight the competencies that are included in your job description.
Draft a formal, detailed job description of an HR professional so solicit candidates for hire.
NOTE: Submit a formal job description as an appendix to your paper. The formal job description should not exceed one page in length.
Your Case Assignment should address what you have learned in the last three modules:
- Job Analysis
- Performance Appraisal
- Recruiting and Selecting Employees
Specific SLO you are addressing in your paper:
SLO1: Develop job analyses to assess the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) needed by employees to perform their jobs effectively.
SLO2: Design effective performance appraisal process to periodically review and evaluate an employee’s job performance.
SLO3: Explore the steps involved in recruiting, selecting, and placing employees in the workplace.
