You have been invited by the National Institute of Forensic Science and the Australian Innocence Network to write a report evaluating one key piece of forensic evidence. They are concerned with its use as expert evidence in court and the prevention of future wrongful conviction.

-The strengths and limitations of the forensic science technique that can be used to assist or argue against the admission of such evidence in court; and
