Why Syracuse?
Why are you interested in Syracuse University and how do you see yourself contributing to a diverse, inclusive, accessible and respectful campus?
Notes:
-Faculty and alumni strong support and excellence
-To reconnect with my father who lives in New York strong family ties are as important to me as having strong alumni connections.
-I have many passions in life one being traveling. Without my parents strong support travel ice hockey and lacrosse would not be possible which allowed me to travel the world and experience the global cultures and diversity which I was able to learn beyond the classroom.
-Next, my junior and senior year being MUN student ambassador and taking part of the MUN conference held in United Kingdom, Prague and Vienna which was amazing opportunity even during the global pandemic was lucky enough to be part of strong group of peers and teachers and we were one tight family and even my strong faith I was able to overcome many challenges in life like my learning disability and being bullied by my head lacrosse coach and peers and unfortunately had to resign from the team.
-The resources offered academically is much more significant at Syracuse University offering strong disability resources to support me academically. We all learn differently through different lenses. Syracuse offers both on the liberal arts and research basis platform.
-Able to continue my passion in extracurricular activities like Mens ice hockey and lacrosse and unfortunately west coast has limited program and Syracuse offers great value in addition to the education where I want to study Sports Management and possibly minor in Global business.
-I would love to dig deeper through real life experiences through the faculty at Syracuse like the undergraduate director Rodney Paul. I take pride and dignity and hone in my skills that really screams that I have strong interest like Sports analytics is something I would love to learn more beyond the classroom that Mr. Paul can offer me.
-Lastly, who cant say NO to enjoying the beautiful weather it enbodies during the 4 seasons in NewYork that I will never be able to experience in California. The diversity and rich culture I am able to experience during my 4 years at Syracuse.
