LAB 13-14

KEY LEARNING concepts After completion of this Jab, you should be able to :
Service of Canada (MSC) (http://weather.gc.ca/canada_e.html) to see current satellite images and to hear weather analysis. Internationally, the World Meteorological Organization coordinates weather information (see http://www.wmo.ch). Perhaps you are already working on the “Weather Calendar” assignment, gathering weather data and recording it in the proper form and with the official symbols used internationally.

In this exercise, we work with an actual weather map to better understand this important aspect of our daily lives. Lab Exercise 14 features two sections.
Recognize the symbols used to depict weather conditions at stations on weather maps .
Construct an actual weather map by drawing isobars and fronts and labeling air masses and then portray weather conditions experienced on that day.
Analyze an idealized weather map and describe current conditions at various locations.
