Module 3: Ethical Decision, Application Reflection Paper
The 3-5-page paper should integrate a Scenario/Case Study Introduction, Ethical Decision-Making Application, Research Application, Best Practice, Personal Philosophy of Education and a Written Application and Reflection Summary.
PROMPT: Students are to evaluate and analyze an ethically challenging scenario at the current school site that offers an opportunity to demonstrate the student’s ability to: integrate a Scenario/Case Study Introduction, understand the importance of ethical decision-making to your role as an effective principal, explore the different options that a principal should consider when making effective ethical decisions, integrate research, theory, best practices, the Code of Ethics of the Education Profession in Florida, and a personal philosophy of education to guide ethical decision making, provide a written application and reflection summary.
Reflect on the concept you provide as the focus of your paper; how would you apply the learnings in your school? What type of policy or common practice would you develop and institute as the principal? How would you communicate with faculty, staff, students, parents, community to support positive outcomes in your learning community?
The 3-5page APA paper (include an APA cover page and references) should integrate a Scenario/Case Study Introduction and a written application and reflection Summary.
REFERENCES: There is not a specific number of resources/references needed, though references to the Principal Standards, Codes of Ethics, School or District Policy / Mission, Vision, Values Statements… are typically included and referenced.
