Case Management
Students will be randomly divided into groups and assigned a case scenario.
Each group will review and discuss their assigned scenario, and after taking into consideration the information recently learned about Case Management and other in-class lectures, answer the following questions:
1) What are the priorities/most pressing issues you would focus on with the client?
2) How would you address any differences between what you see as the priorities and what the client identifies?
3) Where and how would you access additional information regarding the client’s situation and needs?
4) What types of resources might you connect the client with? i.e. housing, finances, etc.
5) What challenges/obstacles, if any, would you anticipate in working with the client?
The group will prepare and submit one document, using question/answer format.
All members of the group will actively contribute to the discussion and preparation of the written responses.
The group may refer to the PowerPoint Presentation on Case Management, the discussion with the guest speaker and/or additional resources you may be aware of. Further research is not required or expected to complete this assignment, but some students may have additional experience and/or knowledge to draw upon.
*No groups will be negatively impacted should they not have additional experience/knowledge to draw upon.
