Identify some area where you want to examine your motivation more deeply.
Details
Draw or diagram your expectancies, values, and costs associated with that drive . You may use paper/pencil or a digital diagramming tool. You can represent the analysis in any way that makes sense to you , but you must include some indicator of what you identify as expectancies, values, and costs and multiple aspects aligned with each one. Aim to identify between 7-10 total, with at least 2 for each category .
At the end in 3-5 sentences, you should reflect on: a) whether this cost benefit analysis would predict you as motivated OR not, and b) what can you change to improve your motivations in the future.
NOTE: There are hundreds of ways you can visualize your cost benefit analysis and complete this assignment successfully — we want you to be creative! However, we have gotten many requests from students in the past for a model, so find one possibility shared below . Do not let this LIMIT your thinking, but instead GUIDE your understanding of our expectations for your success.
