Supportive Submission: Covered California – Healthcare Finance

The critical assignment in this course is a finance and reimbursement presentation.  You will choose and research a system of care (e.g., Covered California, Expansion of Medicaid or Medi-Cal, ACA, or Single Payor Models) and their related finance and reimbursement functions and challenges.

Supportive Submission #1: Topic Selection and Rationale requires you to research, choose, and identify the topic of your finance and reimbursement presentation, and then provide a rationale for choosing it as your topic of interest.  The rationale should include identification of the system you will be focusing on, a brief summary of the issue(s), and a short discussion on any current events or “hot buttons” that make discussion of the issue(s) timely.
