Lynch Forensic Nursing Model
Chinn and Kramer’s approach. Chinn and Kramer refer to the process of theory analysis and evaluation as “description of theory” and “critical reflection of theory.”
Your presentation must explicitly state the criteria used to evaluate or analyze your selected theory because this information will influence the instructor’s evaluation of your work. Specify in your presentation one of the following or similar a statement:
Present Lynch Forensic Nursing Model using Chinn and Kramer’s criteria, which the authors refer to as the description and critical reflection of theory.
The presentation should be no longer than ten (10) slides. Each slide will include a voiceover recording added to narrate the presentation and detailed notes (in the notes pages in case the voice quality in the recording is hard to hear). In addition, one to two slides (slide number 11 and 12) will include reference citations used when conducting the analysis/evaluation/application. References should follow the APA Style (7th ed.) guidelines.
The criteria you use must be explicitly stated in your presentation because the criteria selected will influence the criteria used by the instructors to evaluate your work. You are required to provide specific discussed examples of how you will or could use this theory in practice (DNP program students)
You may use criteria for analyzing and evaluating a theory or model described by Chinn and Kramer
NOTE: The reference by Chinn and Kramer (2018) refers to theory analysis and evaluation as “description of theory” and “critical reflection of theory.” Thus, if you use these criteria, you must address both the process’s description and critical reflection components.
