Drones – Payloads and Sensors
This week we learned about the difference between payloads and sensors, and how to choose the right sensor for the right mission. This is an important aspect to consider before any Drone mission, and can be the factor that determines a team’s success or failure. For that reason, it is important to have a firm understanding of how choosing a payload can work for or against you.
Your assignment is to use a search engine to locate three different specific payloads models. They can be the same type (such as all infrared) or they can be different types- pick out payloads that you personally find interesting. At minimum, your assignment should include the following: A description of the use cases of each payload, a brief history on the company that produced the payload (common products, number of years in business, target consumer, etc) and a data table including any important statistics for the payload (X).
The content of your assignment must be at least 500 words, not including any headings or citations. An abstract is not required. A minimum of 2 outside sources are required for this assignment. Outside materials refer to sources that are not provided to you through this course. Any references to materials from this course should still be properly referenced and cited.
All assignments should be submitted in proper APA format, including citations.
