Parent Meeting
You will develop an interactive 60-minute meeting for families (not children) to engage them in learning about safe learning environments. Review classroom resources and conduct independent research to find the most effective information for your audience and presentation style. Use this Parent Meeting Plan to create your meeting plan. Your plan will include the following:
Title of lesson
Something that will draw the interest of your intended audience to your lesson
Intended audience
Parents and/or other family members
Focus
Identified safe environments topic and why it is important
Materials needed for the lesson
List everything you will need
Any handouts that you intend to provide for participants (this can be a handout title with a link or a copy of the handout)
Objective of lesson
What do you want them to learn from this workshop (i.e., At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to….”
