Motivation and learning begin as early as infancy. We are driven to get results based on what behaviors seem to achieve the best outcome. In childhood, we see the drive for motivation emerging in many areas. Children want to the important adults in their lives. They also want to do things for themselves, such as learning to dress themselves, writing their name and many other things to foster independence and a feeling of achievement. There are many factors that contribute to whether a child maintains that motivation.

Read pages 367-373 in your text and conduct your own research to answer the following questions.
