Writing Assignment
Drawing on your previous case study work, you’re going to use this week’s assignment to propose a social media strategy that capitalizes on the widespread use of multiple screens. You’re going to build your brand’s strategy around some shared event – it could be a big nationwide affair like the Super Bowl, or something smaller like a television show, or something non-media like a festival (Coachella or your local jazz festival). You’ll need to identify a brand as well, and you’ll play the role of their social media director for this event.
● Section 1: Identify your brand and their existing social media presence. How important is mobile communication to the brand? Identify the event you’ll connect your brand with. (5 pts)
● Section 4: What happens next? You have the potential to pick up new and interested audience members from your campaign. What will you do to keep them engaged after the event ends, and how can this campaign inform your longer-term mobile strategy? (5 pts)
