The ability to write clearly and coherently using standard language to share informed views on a given topic is a crucial skill for college students. Consider the goals and outcomes of the Written Communication course as stated in the syllabus and also what you have learned or unlearned so far about improving that skill in order to address the prompt below:
Write a 500-600 word research paper reflecting on your learning experience in the course and where you are on your journey or becoming a “college-level writer as described above. The essay should mention at least one composition aspect and one grammar aspect you learned this semester. Also, the essay should mention at least one composition aspect and one grammar issue you still need to work on. You may write in the first person but should follow all other features of the academic writing style (POPO. Support/evidence for your claim (thesis) includes the following:
1, specific examples from your own writing from assignments completed this semester (these can be from other courses);
2. information about academic writing from at least 2 credible/reliable sources:
- the Arlov textbook is a required resource;
- plus at least one additional reliable source = this can be a webpage on a university website or an article in a popular/scholarly article.
3. All sources must be documented according to APA 7th edition guidelines (in-text citation and reference).
