1. Use MS–Word to create a document named design–thinking.docx to answer the questions that follow. Include at the top of your document the assignment name, the course number and section, my name, and your name. Include each assignment question and number in your document to give answering each question and be sure to check your work before submitting it on Canvas (i.e., grammar and spelling).
2. Read the article Health Care Providers Can Use Design Thinking to Improve Patient Experiences. (Article also available through Canvas, Module 2: Week–2)
3. While the consequences of missed appointments have been widely studied, what critical data have been missing from these studies that could have been used to solve this problem?
4. Briefly describe the key step in the design thinking process.
5. Provide three examples from the article of how design thinking might be used to provide better services and outcomes for patients.
6. Provide a brief description of the phases of the design thinking process presented in the Designing a Patient–Centered Experience section of the article.
7. Give an example of how the Johns Hopkins Hospital is using the design thinking process to improve the patient experience and care at the hospital.
8. Submit your design–thinking.docx document on Canvas before the due date so you can participate in at least one document review cycle with me. This review cycle is part of the assignment. Feedback will be provided to you using Canvas or the Review features of MS–Word (i.e., comments, track changes)
