Section 8: Procurement Plan (Supply Chain Management)(See model 9 notes)

In this section you should outline your make or buy decision that resulted in the need for procurement. You can describe briefly the procurement process and how your team will evaluate bids objectively. Finally, make sure to include the type of contract you will recommend for all procurements. For those working on smaller projects that will not outsource or purchase any labor or service component, you may just include a brief statement with analysis as to why obtaining procurement is not a valid business decision.

Section 9: Project Closing Plan (module 13)

Outline how you plan to bring a successful end to the project. Include procedures for terminating work early (i.e., if a cease work order is given) as well as termination when the project fulfills all work requirements. Be sure to include how final acceptance of all project deliverables are to be obtained and how legal and administrative closure will be done. Exemplary plans will also include how lessons learned will be captured and stored as OPAs (organization process assets) and how feedback will be obtained from relevant stakeholders.

Project will successfully launch after all tasks are completed and pass acceptance criteria. Key project members will give a presentation to upper management on the whole process and wait for the green light from VP to launch it.

Product manager will be responsible for keeping track of all issues that came up and how the team successfully or unsuccessfully resolved them throughout the process. A post-launch meeting by the product manager will be provided to upper management so that they are aware and can better prepare for upcoming projects.

Legal will review and be required to recommend changes and approve all materials involved in the project, including but not limited to: contracts, scopes of work, third-party agreements, marketing materials, and website content.

In case project is to terminate early, all files should be backed up to internal server for future reference. Agreements should also be cancelled with the assistance of the legal team and any HVAC units in the company’s possession should be returned to the manufacturers for a partial or full refund.
