• The student must then post 2 replies of at least 250-300 words by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the assigned Module/Week.
o In each reply students must support their comparisons through incorporating at least 1 scholarly/peer-reviewed journal article.
For both the initial thread and the replies:
• All resources must be scholarly/peer-reviewed journal articles that have been published within the last five years. All articles must be obtained from the Jerry Falwell Library.
• Sources may be used only one time in the assignment (a source can only be used once- in either the initial thread, or in one of the replies). Sources cannot be reused from other discussion postings of similar topics, other replies. Articles or videos in the course cannot be used as one of the required peer-reviewed resources.
• The submissions must be in APA format.
o Use 3rd person. Edit for grammar and punctuation.
o Use the Writing Style Guides available in the course for guidance on formatting citations and references.
Discussion Replies
Use the following headings:
• Topic Reply
o A Discussion of findings from the research on the other student’s thread. For example, compare the research you found on the topic to what the original poster noted in the discussion.
• Biblical Integration
Integrate a minimum of one biblical principle that relates to one or more of your concepts. Listing a Bible verse alone is unacceptable. Provide a verse or biblical principle and elaborate how it relates to your topic and today’s current culture. Only scripture from the Bible’s Old and New Testaments are allowed. Other sacred texts should not be used for the purposes of biblical integration in this course.
• References – 1 total
o 1 scholarly/peer-reviewed reference from the Jerry Falwell Library that has not been previously used by another post to the assignment, or in one of the other discussion board submissions.
