For this assessment, you need to write a full Qualitative Research. You may use any of the work you have produced so far in the module such as the draft qualitative analysis (IPA) or the draft literature review. If you submitted a draft in unit 6, apply the feedback to make improvements.

You will also need to complete an analysis for two conversations from your chosen topic – you are able to use the two Listening Project recordings that you previously transcribed and coded during Lecturecast 3, or you can choose to use one of the alternative topics and recordings provided.

It is important that you analyze both conversations using IPA ( ”Interpretative phenomenological analysis” ) and you must use the same analysis for all the data. In the Methods, it is important to state that you analyzed pre-recorded conversations and the source of these (https://sounds.bl.uk/Oral-history/The-Listening-Project). IPA is appropriate for analyzing conversations of this type, although this is not the most common application.

For details on the consent of participants in the Listening Project see the Listening Project website.

You should include the literature review that you previously submitted for formative feedback within this assignment and you will be marked on all sections, as well as the structure and presentation of the entire report.

The report should include the following:
– Abstract (150-200 words) plus three keywords at the end of the Abstract.
– Introduction including Literature Review (450 words)
– Methods (400 words)
– Findings (500 words)
– Discussion and conclusions (500 words)
– References (following the APA standards)
– Appendices

The total word count is 3,000 words. Please note that References and Appendices are not included in the final word count. In addition, the word counts for the different sections are advisory, so if you do not meet these you will not be penalized. However, please use these as a guide, and do not exceed the total word stated above.
