The thesis statement clearly tells the reader the following. Include all three points.

What process the writer is analyzing
Why she/he is analyzing it
What the end result of the process is

Body: 70%

Organization and Steps: 20%
The steps of the process arranged chronologically or from the most important to the least important

Transition: 10%
There should be transitions between the steps.

Pronouns: 10%
If it is directive, it should be in second person, referring to the reader as “you”. If the analysis is explanatory, it should be written as third person.

Verbs: 5%
If it is directive, the verbs should be imperative. If it is explanatory, the verbs should be indicative or stating

Visuals: 5%
The paper should possess charts, diagrams, and drawings to help explain the process.

Other methods: 20%
Other methods should be incorporated to the analysis such as examples, classification/division, cause/effect, narrative, or argument

Conclusion: 15%

Conclusion should yield a final result and what this result means for the reader.
