Statement of Purpose
Prepare a 1-2 page statement of purpose that speaks to your interest in the Georgetown program. You may choose to incorporate the listed topics into your statement:
* How has your previous education, experiences and professional interests prepared you to be successful as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)?
* What are your professional goals and how will completing the DNP degree help you meet your professional goals?
* How will a DNP degree prepare you to improve health outcomes for individuals and communities as an advanced practice nurse?
* What is your understanding of the role of a DNP (in your specialty, if applicable) and what are your intentions regarding service in selected care area, especially with underserved, vulnerable, or rural populations?
* How did your graduate nursing education and/or experience in a specialized or advanced nursing role prepare you for our graduate program?
*Add any additional information regarding your clinical skills that you would like to share with the Admissions Committee.
