Common Assignment Guidelines 1411, 1412, 2311, 2312
1. Introduction
Dear Student,
The common assignment is as written assignment in English that will be done across the disciplines in all Spanish classes like Spanish 1411, in Spanish 1412, Spanish 2011 and Spanish 2012. The common assignment for this class requires you to do one submission of an essay document. Here are the steps:
1. Read an assigned lecture.
a. Spanish 1411 read p.57 about Día de los Muertos
b. Spanish 1412
c. Spanish 2311
d. Spanish 2312
2. Choose or consider an ethical issue (examples of ethical issues include: the celebration of a holiday in the US versus another one on another country like Día de los Muertos Versus Halloween, Immigration in the US should continue or should be abolished, 16 de septiembre versus 4th of july etc.
3. Do research (at least another article in English or Spanish).
4. Write a persuasive essay following the MLA style (see guidelines below).
5. Include a picture (see guidelines below)
6. Include references using MLA
7. Do the self–checklist for students
