Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993

Burwell v. Hobby Lobby, 134 S.Ct. 2751 (2014) is a recent landmark United States Supreme Court decision that examined how a government mandate may infringe upon the free exercise of religion. The Court resolved the issue by applying the least restrictive means test according to the provisions of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993. While the subject matter of this case is tremendously important, the application of the case in future litigation may be limited.
