For articles assigned, students will submit via Blackboard a TYPED, double-spaced, reaction paper. The student will utilize the introduction paragraph for a brief summary of points covered in the reaction, followed by the reaction section based on his/her thesis statement.

A thesis of your reaction paper will be due before the assignment due date. An opinion essay exists to prove your main point – your thesis. Students must include the thesis (main point of their reaction paper) as well as at least 3 points to support their claims. The only source to be used is the assigned reading. NO outside sources should be utilized for reaction papers/thesis statements… The thesis statement need only be your main idea and three bullets (no quotes). No additional material or formatting is necessary.
When constructing the final reaction paper, your thesis should be clearly stated in your opening paragraph. Don’t leave the reader to guess what your position is on the issue – make a clear stand! Next, develop your argument in the body of your essay using the 3 points previously chosen.
